In addition to the permanent characters, you can choose an alternative character, a guest bird, to play the level with. Guest birds are part of the Guest Star event, but you can also play the regular levels with them. Switch to the character you want to play with by tapping the picture of the bird in the pre-level screen, before entering the level. The Guest bird is only available when you are online.
How can I change the character I play with?
